As dangerous as Fireworks are, and people have lost their lives in St Maarten, as long as someone in government is making a phat profit there will be kids playing with dangerous fireworks and there will be sadistic sociopaths hurting and killing animals with them. The only thing I can advise is to keep your pets indoors. Mine was badly injured last year. There will have to be more tragic deaths in st maarten by firework, in order for something to be done.
