People complain about the number of wild chickens, hens and rooster that run the streets. What you can do is build a Chicken Coop at less than $15 dollars. Take home the chickens and put them in the coop, and let them roam the back yard. They are great at killing venemous insects, the will till your soil AND the freshest, healthiest brown eggs-free!!!!
So I'm working with 37 Square Miles and their eco-friendly "space gardens"... I'll ask them about the chicken situation, and get more details.

As dangerous as Fireworks are, and people have lost their lives in St Maarten, as long as someone in government is making a phat profit there will be kids playing with dangerous fireworks and there will be sadistic sociopaths hurting and killing animals with them. The only thing I can advise is to keep your pets indoors. Mine was badly injured last year. There will have to be more tragic deaths in st maarten by firework, in order for something to be done.

The majority of these pittbull puppies have been bred to suffer abuse, starvation and then an ultimate death by another pittbull. Not only does the St Maarten government turn a blind eye to animal abuse and illegal fights, an idiot named Roland Duncan, who just happened to be St Maarten's 1st Minister of Justice ENCOURAGED animal abuse, saying that it was a part of our culture. Animal cruelty is NOT a part of our cutlure and should be stopped. There are many so called "animal lovers" in St Maarten who talk a good game, but would NEVER do anything about the problem. There are good vets in St Maarten, but many are profit motivated butchers who base saving an animals life on the owners income.

In the St Maarten culture, it's okay to treat a dog, like a dog, even when it's a pet. Dogs roam the streets in search of food. I remember going to a local restaurant, and there was a lost dog wandering around, and I tried to collect scraps to give it food. A Windward Island bank manager complained and had a tantrum, because the waitress had picked up his plate with scraps, put it in a bag and given it to me, to give the starving dog. He got on bad, when I tried to get his picture to post it, management apologized, and I let it go. Don't be surprised to see dead dogs, animals in the street. They're not just strays, they're pets who are NOT taken care of I believe that Karma will bring you back as the animal you abused, or subject you to the same treatment. I reached out to other Animal activists, but apparently there's a lotta talk, and nothing else.
